JESSE JOHNSON: 1

ZACK: 1

1st Place Champion - Zack

Zack debuted in November 2007 with mixed results, and was a no-show in January. So it came as a shock to the Tetris community when this rebel fighter entered the cage and defeated Jesse Johnson, last month's champion Leslie Volkar, and the always dependable Joe Lightning in quick succession. He went on to beat Joe Lightning in the final match, clinching an undefeated February campaign and earning his first ever Tetris championship.

2nd Place - Joe Lightning

Celebrating his one-year Tetrisversary, Joe Lightning was playing like he had something to prove. In an impressive double header, Joe knocked out Vinnie and The Puma (formerly Paul G.) in the winner's bracket, and defeated his former master Agent Wells to earn a trip to the finals. But Zack proved to be too much for this veteran, and Joe will have to wait at least another month before earning his first title.

3rd Place - Agent Wells

This long-time veteran also found herself in a crowded field of first-time-champion hopefuls. She lost to Vinnie in the first round, but then went on an amazing seven match win streaking, taking out monsters like last month's Most Improved Player Lenny, Dewey Decimator, this month's Rookie of the Month Kelley, last month's champion Leslie Volkar and finally a victorious rematch against Vinnie. But her former protégé Joe Lighting was too tough for her, and Agent Wells' win-streak was all for not.

4th Place - Vinnie

The Tim Duncan of Tetris, Vinnie was hoping to pass The Puma in the race for Most-Championships-in-Tetris. Joe Lightning sent him to the loser's bracket, where Vinnie managed wins against dangerous names like Mr. Darkness and Das Steamroller. In the most anticipated match of the night, Vinnie cruised passed The Puma to make it to the final four, where he was humbled by the determined Agent Wells. Watch out for Vinnie next month!

5th Place - The Puma

You've known him as Paul G - now know him as The Puma! He made it to the final four of the winner's bracket no problem, but a loss Joe Lightning led him to a battle with his nemesis Vinnie, where he was nailed in the coffin and dropped into the sea. Nevertheless, The Puma ratcheted wins against Cassandra, Vicky and Mickki, and it's only a matter of time before this cat shows its claws.

6th Place - Leslie Volkar

Last month's champion started off playing well: she scored three wins in a row against Julie, last month's ROM Stacia, and a suddenly dangerous John. But two losses to Zack and Agent Wells knocked her out, once again proving that no player can win Tetris twice in a row.

7th Place - Kelley

A rookie to Tetris League, Kelley was already known as a powerfull player thanks to his victory in the Hawaii Invitational last June. He didn't dissapoint: victories over Brian, his rival Das Steamroller and veteran Dan J. had the crowd chanting for more. Can the Rookie of the Month do it again in March?

8th Place - Das Steamroller

The runner up for Rookie of the Month, Das Steamroller wowed the crowd with his mix of old-school technique with new-school bravado. He took out Ashley, Drewcifer, Colleen and Vicky like an old-time pro, but Vinnie put him in his place in a loser's bracket thriller. THEE dark horse to win it in March.

Rookie of the Month - Kelley

A protégé of the long-time veteran Vicky, Kelley came into February's tourmanent hungry, and played like he meant it.

Biggest Meltdown - Vicky

In her long-awaited battle against Vinnie, Vicky held her own until approximately the minute-thirty mark, where she completely collapsed.

Most Improved Player - Dan J.

Dan J. has been playing Tetris for a while, and last night was his best night ever. He won thrilling matches against Brian, Mickki, and a belligerent Jesse Johnson, and even held his own in a tough loss to ROM Kelley. Good job Dan J!
